Povlja

The lovely seaside resort of Povlja is situated at the head of a deep fiord-like bay on the north-eastern coast of Brac. Apart from fishing, stone-cutting and agriculture, tourism has long since become one of the principal activities of the local population. When sightseeing be sure to visit Early Christian basilica (the oldest sacral monument on the island) and adjacent parish church with it's fine bell-tower.
