No wonder nobody can resist the timeless charm of Skrip, one
of the very few continously inhabited
localities in Europe or indeed the world.
There have always been people in this place since the Neolithic-Iron age to this very day, as
testified by the numerous remains such as the well preserved cyclopean walls, built by the Illyrian
tribes against the Greek
invaders-colonizers.
Wichever turn one takes, every path leads to an impressive memento of the past or some
magnificentview of the lovely landscape
and spacious blue sea. The local museum
is well worth a visit as is the Roman mausoleum.
